Some guy wearing a Quest Diagnostics polo shirt was playing a keyboard today out on Downtown Crossing. Horrible crap. Just screeching elevator music.
I looked in his case and there were a few coins. I wish someone rich would come along and throw in a hundred bucks if he'd stop.
I noticed Jenn Taranto is playing someplace in Newton Highlands tonight, and thought she might be out there today, since it seems like she plays there when she's up in this area. I hope she wasn't pushed out of her spot by this dope.
Music, theater, gardening, travel, current affairs, and my personal life, not always in that order. I try to keep it interesting, I rarely hold back, because one thing I truly believe in is the shared experience of this reality we call life. We're all in this together, people. More than we even know.

Jenn Taranto
Went out for a breather and coming up to Washington Street I heard a guitar and a voice. Jenn Taranto was standing out in the hot sun among the noonday crowd (office workers, street people, tourists and the like) singing her heart out. Pretty songs, pretty voice. I sat and listened for awhile. There's a strength to her voice and her playing that is sort of hidden by a kind of simplicity.
Nice stuff.
Bought her CD for ten bucks. Always happy to help out an artist.
